To Planned Parenthood in St. Louis, mothers harmed by abortion are just “collateral damage”

TITUSVILLE, FL -- “It’s outrageous but not unexpected that Planned Parenthood will be able to continue performing abortions in St. Louis despite its record of shoddy patient care and the state’s decision not to renew its license,” Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, said after today’s announcement that the abortion seller can remain in business even without a license.

A commissioner from the state Administrative Hearing Commission ruled that abortions can continue until he can hold a hearing on Aug. 1.

Father Pavone noted that a deficiency report issued by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services in May revealed that Planned Parenthood abortionists had caused three patients to undergo multiple abortions and sent a fourth to the hospital in critical condition. The abortionists who performed the procedures then refused to be interviewed by state officials.

“Selling more and more abortions is much more important to Planned Parenthood than the safety of women who come to them,” Father Pavone said. “These women who are harmed by abortion are nothing more than collateral damage for the abortion industry. When the purpose of a procedure is the death of a child, we can’t expect the nation’s largest abortion business to care much about the mother carrying that child.

“Let’s see if any of the Democrat presidential candidates who were heralding their support over the last two nights for women’s health will say anything in favor of protecting the health of women in Missouri,” Father Pavone concluded.
