Here we give you a snapshot of some of what the Priests for Life family of ministries is doing in these days. We thank you for your support and invite you to get to know us better!!

Our Executive Director Janet Morana is in Rome this week to speak at the March for Life on May 19th. See photos at www.PriestsForLife.org/Frontlines.

Janet is also preparing for a major meeting in the Fall to be held at our headquarters for training on post-abortion healing and also a meeting of former abortionists.

Janet has also been promoting her new book, Shockwaves: Abortion’s Wider Circle of Victims. Copies are available at ShockwavesTheBook.com.

Priests for Life is spearheading a Pray for Ireland effort. On May 25, 2018, the people of Ireland will vote as to whether to repeal the 8th Amendment to their Constitution. That amendment protects the lives of the unborn from abortion. We pray that people vote “No” to this proposal, and keep the scourge of abortion out of their country. Please join us in prayer at www.PrayerCampaign.org/Ireland.

Priests for Life will hold six Vote for Life Campaign online training seminars over the summer. The first will be on June 20. Sign up to join us at www.ElectionWebcast.org.

Fr. Denis Wilde, OSA, Associate Director, gave a keynote presentation on Catholics in the Public Square at the Faith and Freedom Conference at Sacred Heart Oratory, Wilmington, DE last Saturday.

The month of June holds plenty of Priests for Life activity, and a highlight of it is our regular participation in the National Right to Life Convention, this year being held in Kansas City. We work very closely with this organization as they craft pro-life legislation for the states and the nation, such as the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.

This year, along with the usual workshops Fr. Frank presents at the conference about how to foster pro-life leadership in the Churches and the popular workshop, “The Church, the Media, and the State,” we are also happy to announce that Priests for Life will be sponsoring the Prayer Breakfast at this convention. The speaker will be Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City, who will be the new Chairman of the US Bishops’ Committee on Pro-life Activities. Fr. Frank will offer the opening prayer at the breakfast. Our Youth Outreach Director, Bryan Kemper, will also present workshops at the Convention.

In June we also welcome a new staff member, Rob Collins, who will work with Bryan to bring our social media outreach to a whole new level. Rob has already had great success in this field with his large Facebook platform called “Catholicity” and other popular pages.

Fr. Frank will have a regular column on Newsmax.com in which he will give regular updates on the efforts to end abortion! Our fulltime pastoral associate Evangelist Alveda King likewise has a column on Newsmax.

Fr. Frank and Dave his assistant are reaching out to priests and deacons through phone calls and emails from all around the country who have been responsive to our ministry in the past. They are asking for printed pro-life resources for their parish communities and literature racks, as well as preaching aids for themselves (e.g. Proclaiming the Message of Life, brochures on preaching, bulletin inserts, Priests for Life website references, etc.).  We are happy to share these resources with them free of charge.

Secondly, we are establishing a systematic outreach program to the Catholic seminaries in the US.  We are networking with seminarians who we intersect with at the various pro-life events across the country.  By bringing the Gospel of Life to these priestly formation seedbeds, we are seeking to foster growth, nurture and strengthen the pro-life message for the future leaders of the Church.

The Parliamentary Network for Critical Issues (PNCI), which operates under the umbrella of Priests for Life, is researching, writing, and then sending out its latest newsletter on actions taking place around the world affecting a culture of life. PNCI Director Marie Smith will be attending the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast on May 24; Archbishop Joseph Naumann will be the keynote speaker. The archbishop will begin to serve as chairman of the USCCB's Pro-Life Activities Committee in November.

The Resource Department is printing the new June/July Mini-Catalog! The Summer Reading Bundles for adults and children are ready. Anthony DeStefano’s books have bright and fun illustrations for our younger new readers. Reading out loud while your baby is in the womb gets them a head start on reading skills and hearing your voice!

Public Outreach continues to receive prayer requests and concern for safeguarding Ireland’s 8th amendment.

Travels of our Pastoral Team in May include in part the following:

Janet Morana and Fr. Frank Pavone will be at EWTN from May 20-24 for the taping of new episodes of The Catholic View for Women.

Fr. Frank Pavone will attend the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast in Washington, DC on May 24.

Fr. Stephen Imbarrato will also attend the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast and other meetings in Washington, DC from May 17-25. He will pray at the mega Planned Parenthood on Saturday, May 19 and also in front of the White House on May 26.

Pastoral Associate Kevin Burke was a guest on America Out Loud Radio Show with Host Terry Beatley. Kevin shared a message of hope to his brothers in Christ who are hurting after abortion to become like Peter in the Bible who had to learn to honestly face his weaknesses and fear and trust in God's forgiveness and mercy. Listen for healing…hope…redemption and reconciliation.

Evangelist Alveda King and Civil Rights for the Unborn (CRU)  CRU is on Capitol Hill this week networking to end crimes against humanity including sex trafficking and abortion...

Some of our special media appearances for the month of May include:

Father Frank Pavone will be on March 4 Life NY Radio at 7 p.m. ET May 21. Listen at www.blogtalkradio.com/march4lifeny-radio.

Fr. Frank, Janet, and our whole team have also begun broadcasting from our Priests for Life studios in Florida for Priests for Life TV (EndAbortion.TV) and are overseeing the launch of this internet TV station by selecting video footage to be used from our archives, planning live broadcasts, overseeing the purchase and upgrading of necessary equipment, and training the staff in what they need to do to establish this channel as a 24/7 pro-life broadcasting effort.

Similarly, they have equipped our radio studio with the necessary technology to broadcast on Facebook Live the interviews we do in our studio with various radio outlets around the country.

Our data experts are in the process of upgrading more of our data processes to SQL server and streamlining all the data processes.

The Priests for Life Pastoral Team is providing weekly commentary on Living the Gospel of Life: A Challenge to American Catholics. 2018 is the 20th anniversary of this important document put out by the Bishops. See GospelOfLife.net

Fr. Stephen Imbarrato has been assisting Fr. Frank in the development of the Eucharistic Processions for Life project.

Fr. Frank Pavone continues to produce daily Facebook live videos as does Fr. Stephen Imbarrato (every morning at 9am ET). Be sure to tune in and share them!

Fr. Frank, Janet Morana and Mark Valonzo continue to hire and train new staff hired at our new, expanded Florida headquarters. We still have job openings! You can see them at PriestsForLife.org/jobs. Please spread the word.

We continue to promote our action alerts at StopAbortionNow.org.

Our team continues to write op-eds being published in a variety of publications. See the most recent and the entire list at priestsforlife.org/library.

In the arena of media, Fr. Frank and Janet Morana continue to be on Teresa Tomeo's Catholic Connection weekly. Our radio show, The Gospel of Life on Radio Maria airs every Tuesday night at 6pm ET. Meanwhile, Defending Life and The Catholic View for Women programs continue to air regularly on EWTN and we continue to promote them vigorously.
