General Election voter registration deadline – October 19, 2016

Early voting –

In person –  

For the first time, Massachusetts voters may vote early in person with no excuse required.  The early voting period is October 24 through November 4, 2016.  Hours for early voting may vary by community and will be posted in mid-October at www.MassEarlyVote.com.

By mail –  

For the first time, Massachusetts voters may vote by mail with no excuse required.  While there is no official deadline for applying for a vote-by-mail ballot, voters should allow time for their requests to be processed, receive their ballots, and return their ballots by Election Day.  The application for a vote-by-mail ballot is available at http://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/elepdf/Early-Ballot-Application-2016.pdf.  Vote-by-mail ballots will be mailed starting October 24, 2016.
