General Election voter registration deadline – If registering by mail, application must be received by October 18, 2016; if registering in person, there is no cut-off date.

Early voting –

In person –  Any voter may vote early in person, no excuse required.  As soon as absentee ballots are available (30 to 45 days before an election) a voter may vote an absentee ballot, without having to apply for one, at his municipal clerk’s office.

By mail –   Any voter may vote early by mail, no excuse required.  Applications for absentee/vote-by-mail ballots may be requested beginning three months before the election up until the Thursday before the election (November 3, 2016). Completed ballots must be returned by the close of polls on Election Day.
