State Primary voter registration deadline – Postmarked by May 10, 2014

General Election voter registration deadline – Postmarked by October 4, 2014

General Election date – November 4, 2014

Early voting –

In person – A voter who qualifies for an absentee ballot (see below) may apply for and vote his absentee ballot in person once absentee ballots are ready up until the day before the election.

By mail – In order to vote early by mail, a voter must meet one of several criteria. Among the acceptable reasons for voting absentee are: the voter is 65 or older; physical disability; the voter will be on vacation on Election Day; the voter is a member of the armed forces
and/or lives overseas; and the voter will not be able to vote “for reasons of employment.”

Applications for absentee/vote-by-mail ballots may be made at any time during the year, but must be received by the county registration office no later than June 6, 2014 for the State Primary and October 31, 2014 for the General Election. Ballots must be returned by the close of the polls on Election Day.
