State Primary voter registration deadline – May 30, 2014

State Primary date – June 24, 2014


General Election voter registration deadline – October 10, 2014

General Election date – November 4, 2014

Early voting –

In person – Voting early in person is not permitted.

By mail – A voter may vote early by mail if he: will be unavoidably absent from his county or, if a resident of the city of New York absent from said city, on Election Day; will be unable to appear at the polls due to illness or disability; is a patient in a Veterans’ Administration Hospital; is detained in jail awaiting Grand Jury action or confined in prison after conviction for an offense other than a felony

Applications for absentee/vote-by-mail ballots must be received no later than June 17, 2014 for the State Primary and October 28, 2014 for the General Election. Absentee/vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked no later than the day before the election or delivered in person to the Board of Elections by Election Day.
