New Hampshire will elect a Governor in 2012

Presidential Primary registration deadline – October 14, 2011 to change party affiliation; December 31, 2011 or at the polls on Primary Day if unregistered

Presidential Primary date – January 10, 2012

State Primary registration deadline – June 5, 2012 to change party affiliation; September 4, 2012 or at the polls on Primary Day if unregistered

State Primary date – September 11, 2012

General Election registration deadline – October 27, 2012 or at the polls on Election Day

Early voting

In person – Early voting in person is not permitted.

By mail – Voters may vote early by mail if they: will be absent from their city or town of registration on election day; have a disability that prevents them from voting in person; will be working during the time polls will be open on election day; or will not be able to go to the polls due to religious observance.

There is no specific deadline for requesting absentee/vote-by-mail ballots, but marked ballots must either be returned in person by the day before the election or received by mail on election day.
