Early voting

In person – A voter may vote early in person if he will be absent from his city or town on Election Day, has a physical disability that prevents him from going to his polling place, or cannot vote at the polls due to religious belief. Once absentee ballots are available (usually three weeks before an election), the voter may go to his local city or town hall, apply for and vote an absentee ballot all in the same visit. The deadline for early in-person absentee voting is noon on the day before the election. 

Early in-person voting – October 16 to November 5

By mail – A voter may vote early by mail if he has a valid reason (see “In person” early voting above). Applications for absentee/vote-by-mail ballots must be received by noon on the day before the election. Marked ballots must be received by Election Day to be counted.
