Early voting

In person – Voters may vote early in person if they have a valid excuse. Reasons for early in-person voting include: illness or disability; work prevents you from going to the polls on election day; you will be on vacation on election day; or religious tenets prevent you from going to the polls on election day.

For date and time information for early in-person voting, voters should contact their local County Department of Elections. Early voting ends at noon on the Monday before the election.

Early in-person voting – September 22 to November 5

By mail – Voters may vote early by mail if they have a valid excuse (see “In person” voting above for valid excuses). To vote absentee/by mail, voters must submit an Affidavit for Absentee Voting. Absentee ballots will be mailed out usually 35 days prior to a Primary Election and 45 days prior to a General Election.

All absentee ballots must be received no later than the close of polls on election day.
