How did you come to have the abortion(s) and who was involved?

I was unmarried, pregnant by a man I dated for two months.

How would you describe your abortion(s)?

I remember the noise of the suction machine. I remember crying all the way home. I remember being the first to get up and leave.

How did your abortion(s) affect you and others?

Bitterness, hate, rage. Now, finally 12 years later.

Please describe what you have done to deal with your abortion(s), and whether it helped.

Attending Open Arms, a support group for women suffering post abortion syndrome. I have told almost all my friends, my daughter who is now 19, my sister and her family. I have not told my parents yet.

How do you think your abortion(s) changed your life?

Now, then or the years in between?  I was so guilty, and dysfunctionally unhealthy. I tried to end the relationships I was in. Therefore, we continued dating and 2 years later found ourselves pregnant again. We now have a daughter. This is extremely difficult for me.
