National Memorial for the Unborn Presents First Annual National Award
The National Memorial for the Unborn, located on the site of a former abortion mill in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and having a wall containing some 3000 individual plaques in honor of aborted children, had its first annual banquet on June 7. Experts in post-abortion healing from around the nation were present, and joined in prayer and thanks to God for the countless men and women who are undergoing the process of healing from the wounds of abortion.
The first national "Life Hero Award" was presented to Fr. Frank Pavone, Founding Director of Priests for Life, and the newest Board member of the National Memorial for the Unborn. The award recognized his work in defense of life and his "compassionate leadership in advancing post-abortion healing."
Those present expressed the hope that in addition to the "affiliate walls" in several states, there would eventually be a wall of names in every state and in Washington, DC, to give visible remembrance to the victims of abortion. The focus of the National Memorial for the Unborn is not only such commemoration, but primarily the mission of healing the wounded.
