Fr. Scott spent the last weekend of spring as a Priest Team Member for the Rachel’s Vineyard retreat at the Immaculate Conception Seminary in Huntington, Long Island, New York. In his second time serving at an RV retreat, Fr. Scott was honored to work with Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Lorraine Garibaldi, who operate pregnancy resource centers in Massapequa Park and Deer Park and who were team leaders at the event.
The weekend was the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity. In his homily, Fr. Scott spoke of “the one and the many;” how the Trinity does not detract from the uniqueness of the shared Godhead nor does the Godhead detract from the uniqueness of the Three Persons. Further, he noted that we “are unique, irreplaceable, unrepeatable persons, yet we are intimately connected to one another by a shared nature. No one can ever replace any of us as we are given by God something of Himself to realize that no other human can manifest or bring to the world but us.”
Again, Fr. Scott was impressed with the authenticity and genuineness of Rachel’s Vineyard and its emphasis on God’s Mercy, summarizing, “The great Graces that flow from the Rachel’s Vineyard experience are beyond words or measure.”
