Fr. Denis Wilde, OSA in Iowa - March 2011

FRONTLINES
Fr. Denis Wilde
March 4-7, 2011

Fr. Denis Wilde’s trip to southwest Iowa began in Nebraska, where Roger and Christine Wilson met him at the Omaha airport Friday night.  Crossing back over the Missouri River, they drove to Gabriel’s Corner, a pregnancy resource center with 4-D ultrasound in Council Bluffs.  It was at Gabriel’s Corner that Fr. Denis began Saturday with Exposition and rosary with about 40 people in attendance inside the center’s chapel, followed by Mass.

Saturday evening, Fr. Denis preached at the first of three Masses in three different churches: St. Joseph’s Church in Earling at 5:00 pm; St. Boniface Church in Westphalia Sunday morning at 8:00; followed by St. Michael’s Parish in Harlan at 10:30 am.  Sunday afternoon saw Fr. Denis return to St. Michael’s for a piano concert.

The long weekend flew by for Fr. Denis thanks to the incredibly warm hospitality shown by the Wilsons, Dennis and Angie Shea, Charles and Dorothy Frisby, and so many others.
