Alveda King Receives the John Cardinal O'Connor Pro-Life Award (February 5, 2011)

On February 5, 2011, Dr. Alveda King, full-time pastoral associate of Priests for Life and the niece of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., received the Cardinal John J. O’Connor Pro-Life Hall of Fame Award.

The award is bestowed each year by Legatus, the organization of Catholic business professionals founded by Tom Monaghan.

Dr. King is the fifth member of the Priests for Life team to receive this award. Previous recipients are Father Pavone, national director; Janet Morana, executive director and co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign; Dr. Theresa Burke, co-founder of Rachel’s Vineyard, and Jerry Horn, senior advisor for media.
