Like countless Philadelphians and New Yorkers, not to mention those more local, Fr. Denis Wilde spent Labor Day weekend in Ocean City, NJ, “America’s Greatest Family Resort.” Fr. Denis wasn’t there for the beautiful beaches, though; he arrived to celebrate a Pro-Life Parish Weekend at St. Augustine’s.

Fr. Denis enjoyed a time of great fellowship with fellow Augustinians, at whose house he stayed during his weekend of preaching. At the Labor Day Mass, he spoke of the value of work as a natural God given gift that flows from the primary gift of life we receive from our Creator. All in all, for Fr. Denis it was a “positive and warm” experience greeting old friends and meeting out-of-town vacationers during this last holiday of summer.
