In a Pro-Life Parish Weekend that was also something of a mini family reunion, Fr. Scott Daniels traveled to Olive Branch, MS, home of his sister. Fr. Scott spent Saturday and Sunday at Queen of Peace Parish, where he heard confessions and presided and preached at three masses. He was very warmly received, with many people commenting to him that priests needed to be preaching on the sanctity of life more often.
Among those Fr. Scott met over the weekend were Mr. Roy Gaia, who has been involved in pro-life work since the early 1970s, and Mother Mary Angelina, D.C.J. (Carmelite Family), who is the sister of local parishioner Mrs. Donna Cook. Mother Mary Angelina is the superior general of her order and is headquartered in the Netherlands.
Following the weekend activities, Fr. Scott went to preach in all of the classes at St. Benedict at Auburndale School.
Fr. Scott also traveled to NY in August. Click here for pictures.
