Pray for Lauren Richardson

Lauren Richardson is the victim in a life or death battle similar to Terri Schiavo.

She suffered an anoxic brain injury in August 2006. At the time of her accident, Lauren was also pregnant.

Her parents, Randy Richardson and Edith Towers followed her wishes and kept her alive with feeding and assisted respiration and Lauren gave birth to a beautiful daughter named Ember Grace. Following the birth of Ember Grace, Lauren’s parents disagreed on her medical treatment. Mr. Richardson wishes to continue ordinary medical care while Mrs. Towers does not. Lauren’s respirator was removed and her tracheotomy sealed and she continued to breathe on her own. This is strong evidence of Lauren’s desire to live.

However her Mother still insists on the removal of her feeding tube. Her father and family after several doctor and therapist examinations, believe that Lauren is capable of eventually eating on her own. So far, Lauren has not received any prescribed medication and therapy to help in her recovery. In fact, Mrs. Towers has not allowed Lauren to see her daughter. If enough people pray for Mrs. Towers she may change her mind and thus allow Lauren to continue to live and start a program of recovery. Lauren is certainly a fighter and has shown the will to live. Please pray for her continued improvement and for her father, Randy, as well.
