CAIRO — Father Frank A. Pavone will be visiting the parish community of
Sacred Heart/St. Mary's/Our Lady of Knock Shrine in Cairo and East Durham. He
will be homilist and celebrate at the following Masses on Aug. 26 and 27.

Priests for Life is an association of Catholic priests who give special
emphasis to promoting and defending the sanctity of life. The association brings
together and encourages priests to fight the culture of death particularly
abortion and euthanasia.
Fr. Pavone became national director of PFL in Sept. 1993 and now serves full
time in this position, traveling through the country preaching and teaching
against abortion and helping other priests to do the same. He has appeared on
the Eternal Word TV network and numerous other shows and radio broadcasts, and
has authored numerous articles and several widely distributed pro-life
brochures.
He has also spoken internationally and was asked by Mother Teresa to address
the clergy of India on the life issues.
From August through October, some 40 million homes in America will have
access to a 13 week series of 1/2 hour shows on abortion presented by Fr.
Pavone. The series is called "Defending Life." Filmed at the EWTN in Birmingham,
AL, the series can be seen throughout the country four times a week...Mondays at
1:30 a.m., Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday at 11 p.m. and Thursdays at 6 a.m.
