This reflection is taken from my book, Pro-Life Reflections for Every Day, which is available for purchase at: ProLifeReflectionsForEveryDay.org
“A voice is heard in Ramah, mourning and great weeping, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because her children are no more” (Jeremiah 31:15).
Reflection: A woman wrote of her abortion, “I had a severe emotional collapse. I was thinking of killing myself. I cried every day for a year or more. I did not get along with anyone too well. I felt like I hated the world. I suffered nightmares. Every time the vacuum was used I thought about how my baby died.”
Prayer: Lord, receive the tears of so many who cry for their aborted children; may we cry with them. Amen.
