This reflection is taken from my book, Pro-Life Reflections for Every Day, which is available for purchase at: ProLifeReflectionsForEveryDay.org
“Any politics of human life must work to resist the violence of war and the scandal of capital punishment. Any politics of human dignity must seriously address issues of racism, poverty, hunger, employment, education, housing, and health care” (US Bishops, Living the Gospel of Life, n. 23).
Reflection: Care for human life is multi-faceted. That doesn’t mean anyone has to try to do everything. It means that we have concern for all people, and that we realize that progress in any area of human dignity facilitates progress in every other area.
Prayer: Lord, as progress is made for human rights, may all people, born and unborn, reap the benefit. Amen.
